Safety on the construction site is one of the most important elements of any project. Modern industrial and logistics facilities are built using heavy equipment, work at heights, and advanced construction technologies. This means that, alongside work organization, quality of workmanship, and adherence to deadlines, daily concern for the health and safety of people working on the site is equally important.

That is why, on Tuesday, a preventive and demonstration exercise took place at the BTS Park Świebodzin construction site, organized jointly by the general contractor DEKPOL and the State Fire Service in Świebodzin.

The drill scenario involved the evacuation of an injured person from the roof of the hall using a specialized aerial lift. The “injured person” was properly secured on a rescue stretcher and then transported to ground level, where a demonstration of rescue operations and the principles of first aid and CPR was conducted.

This was not a random demonstration. Such activities stem from a real need to raise awareness and reinforce safety procedures. The construction industry is one of the sectors where the risk of various incidents is always present, which is why regular training, drills, and preventive measures are so crucial.

The ABCs of construction site safety:

✔ Respond immediately to hazardous situations,
✔ Secure the scene,
✔ Notify the appropriate authorities,
✔ Administer first aid to the best of your ability,
✔ Stay calm and follow procedures,
✔ Remember that every minute counts.

Prevention is key. The greater the awareness among employees and those involved in the construction process, the greater the chance of avoiding dangerous situations or minimizing their consequences.

Such initiatives demonstrate a responsible approach to workplace safety and confirm that a safety culture on the construction site does not end with mandatory health and safety training, but requires regular reminders of safety procedures and practical exercises.

We would like to thank all participants in the campaign, construction site employees, DEKPOL representatives, and officers of the State Fire Service in Świebodzin for their commitment and joint efforts to promote safety.
